Bengaluru: State Government is mulling to start offline classes for primary- class one to five- after Dasara vacations, from October 21.
Buoyed by the response for the classes from six to nine, which has been gradually on a rise, the state government is planning to extend to class one to five. Moreover, there are no instances of students contracting Covid-19 virus.
According to academic calendar of 2021-22, Dasara vacations will be from October 10 to 20.
Private schools have started mid-term exams, which will end by October 5. It is anticipated that Covid cases may fall further after Dasara vacations. Before resuming offline classes for primary, the education department will seek the advise of health and family welfare department and also convene a high level meeting.
As the situation started to ease, the offline classes for ninth to 12 resumed from August 23 and for sixth to eighth from September 6.
