Newly wed woman ends life; depressed over separation from her lover

Mysuru: A 20-year-old newly married woman committed suicide allegedly by hanging at Rampura village in Nanjangud taluk in the district.
Varshita of Karya village in Nanjangud taluk is the deceased woman. She had married Abhishek of Chamarajanagar on May 8.
According to sources, Varshita was in love with her neighbour Kiran. However her parents who objected to their relationship, later married her off with Abhishek. However, Varshita was still in love with Kiran.
Recently in July when Varshita came to her parents house for Ashada, allegedly eloped with Kiran.
Hullahalli police who had received a missing complaint had later succeeded in tracing them to Bengaluru. After bringing them to Mysuru, the police counselled and separated them.
Later, Varshita was sent to her relative’s house in Mysuru, where she stayed for three days. Recently she had shifted to her grandfather’s house in Rampura, where she was found hanging in the wash room.
Hullahalli police have registered a case.
