Mysuru: Former minister and K R Nagar Janata Dal (Secular) MLA Sa Ra Mahesh on Friday alleged that transfer racket has reached its peak in the district. It is going on unabated without the knowledge of the district incharge minister.
Substantiating the allegations, Mahesh said “Excise Deputy Commissioner Muralidhar was transferred and the officer has moved Karnataka Administrative Tribunal ( KAT) in this regard. He had been in Mysuru for just nine months. To what extent money played a role here and who lobbied for the transfer and who is the beneficiary here?, questioned Mahesh
Recently, a new executive engineer was brought in to the vacant post at Hunsur sub- division of PWD”.
Mahesh alleged that ‘Rs 50 lakh has changed hands behind this posting’.
Mahesh who charged his political bete noire and former Hunsur MLA A H Vishwanath without taking his name mocked at the latter saying “He had who won Assembly elections in Hunsur with 90,000 votes, but could not even muster to gain less than half of the votes in the by- elections”.
He had collected loads of rice from rice mills, Mahesh accused Vishwanath in an oblique manner.
Mahesh said “I wrote a letter to deputy commissioner regarding these loads of rice. If the government fails to reveal the truth, I will release documents”, he claimed.
