NCP crisis deepens, Ajit Pawar claims support of 29 MLAs!

1 min read

Mumbai: The crisis in Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) deepened further with both Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar holding meetings, showing their power, simultaneously in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Much to the shock of veteran leader Sharad Pawar, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar now claimed that he has 29 MLAs of the total 53 NCP MLAs, while the veteran side had only 17 MLAs in the meeting.

A party worker who held a placard that read ’83-year-old warrior waging a fight alone’ outside Sharad Pawar’s residence mirrored the drastic developments in Maharashtra that will go to Assembly elections, next year.

Meanwhile, Sharad Pawar has moved a disqualification petition against at least 9 MLAs to the Speaker.
