National Science Day celebrated at MMK and SDM Women’s College in city

Mysuru: National Science Day was celebrated at MMK and Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College For Women in the city on February on 28.

Dr Chaitra Narayan, founder of Codagu AGRITECH & Shivam Distillations and a syndicate member of the University of Mysore, graced the event as Chief Guest. Prof Sainath Malligemadu, the Principal, presided over the session, with Bharathi N, Vice-Principal and Sukrutha K S, IQAC Coordinator, as the distinguished guests.

The session focused on the theme ‘Indigenous Technology for Viksit Bharat’ with Dr Chaitra Narayan who spoke about the significance of National Science Day and its relevance in fostering scientific inquiry and innovation through engaging discussions and presentations.

The students were encouraged to appreciate the role of science in addressing societal challenges.

The event aimed to inspire students to pursue excellence in scientific endeavors and contribute to societal progress through their research.

Principal Prof Sainath Malligemadu addressed the gathering and encouraged students to pursue excellence in scientific endeavours and each one of them to contribute in societal progress.

Principal also informed the students to make use of entrepreneur cell and innovation and incubation cell for the research activity. Thus students can think thing for future endeavours.

Vice-Principal Bharathi addressed the gathering and encouraged the students take part in research activities.

Overall it was an enriching and inspiring experience for all the participants, promoting scientific literacy and a culture of innovation in the college community.
