National farmer leaders visit Bengaluru; discuss strategy to strengthen movement

Bengaluru: Farmer Leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal is on hunger strike from the last 110 days on DataSinghWala – Khanauri border (Haryana – Punjab border) for MSP Guarantee Law.

On Saturday, a delegation of Sanyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) from Datasinghwala-Khanauri border visited Bengaluru and met with the State Level Committee of Karnataka Sugarcane Growers Association in Gandhi Bhavan to chalk out strategy to strengthen ongoing Farmers Movement.

The delegation checked about the health of Karnataka State Sugarcane Growers Association President Kurburu Shantakumar who met with an accident on February 14, while going to Chandigarh to attend a Farmer’s delegation meeting with Central  Ministers.

Farmer Leader Kurburu Shantkumar gave an emotional message to farmers stating “You don’t need to worry about my health & instead you all should work day & night to strengthen this ongoing movement for MSP Guarantee Law”.

Farmer leaders said that, in the last two meetings with Central Ministers on February 14& 22, our delegation strongly demanded MSP Guarantee Law & presented strong facts in support of MSP Guarantee Law.

Next round of meeting between Centre Government Ministers & Farmer’s Delegation of SKM (Non-Political) & KMM will take place on March 19 in Chandigarh.

National leaders Abhimanyu Kohar, Lakwinder Singh, Kaka Singh, Kotwa Sukhjit Singh, State Farmers’ Association State General Secretary Ballur Ravikumar, State Sugarcane Growers’ Association Working President Veerana Gowda Ko Patil, State Green Army President Karabasappa Gowda, Dharwad Mahesh Belavankar, Gulbarga Ramesh Hoogar, Chikkaballapur Srinivasalu, Bellary GV Lakshmidevi, Hassan Darmadaj, Raichur s Shivarjuna Nayak, Yadagiri Narsareddy Police Patil, Davanagere Anjanappa Pujar, Chamarajanagar Mookahalli Mahadevaswamy, Mysore Aattahalli Devaraj, were present.
