National Education Policy can provide quality education for bringing effective changes in society: DCM Ashwathnarayan

Mysuru: Deputy Chief Minister Dr C N Ashwathnarayan on Sunday said “Only quality education can help in bringing effective changes in the society. It can be made possible with National Education Policy (NEP).”

Speaking after inaugurating the hi-tech Covid Care Centre at Swami Vivekananda Memorial Hospital in Sargur taluk in the district, Ashwathnarayan said “One should develop a conscience of giving back to the society after education. But, not the habit of selfishness. Be it any issue, there is a solution through education. H D Kote is a backward place and an organisation like this is working during the Covid crises. It should be a model to the country and world.”

Heaping praises on Cooperation and district incharge minister S T Somashekar, Ashwathnarayan credited the former for travelling across the district amidst Covid and effectively working for the overall development of the district.

Lauding Dr R Balasubramaniam the founder of the organisation who has devoted his life for the cause of the people in this part and responding to their difficulties, Ashwathnarayan said ” It is a model to the country again.”

H D Kote MLA Anil Chikkamadu is following in the footsteps of his father, by working well.

MUDA Chairman H V Rajiv is also responding well by opening a 150-bed Covid hospital.

In H D Kote taluk, 78 per cent of people in the age group of 45 years and above are vaccinated. In the coming days, vaccination will be given to people in the age group of 18 years and above, said Ashwathnarayan.

Cooperation and district incharge minister S T Somashekar, MLA Anil Chikkamadu, MUDA Chairman H V Rajiv, Deputy Commissioner Dr Bagadi Gautham, ZP CEOA M Yogeesh, SP R Chetan, Dr R Balasubramaniam founder of Swami Vivekananda Memorial Hospital were present.
