Nation loses a patriot! Suttur seer condoles Pranab Mukherjee’s death

Mysuru: Suttur seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji has condoled the death of former President of India Pranab Mukherjee who passed away on Monday.
The seer has released condolence message, where Pranab Mukherjee has been described as a patriot and the nation has lost a patriot like him.
Pranab Mukherjee who inaugurated new hospital building of JSS had lauded the activities of JSS Mahavidyapeeth, Swamiji recalled.
A leader known for his open thinking, Pranab Mukherjee had earned the goodwill irrespective of party. His contribution to the nation earned him Bharat Ratna the highest civilian honour of the country in 2019.
A native of West Bengal, Pranab Mukherjee who was a political science lecturer in his initial days, later became a Rajya Sabha member in 1969 and served the upper house of the parliament for four terms. He was also the minister in various cabinets handling portfolios like that of finance, commerce and Industries and also external affairs. He was also the leader of Lok Sabha in 2004.
“Praying for the peace of departed soul, I pray god to give strength to his family members, friends and followers to bear his loss”, the Swamiji has stated in the condolence message.
