Mysuru: Nanjangud rural police stumbled upon a vehicle lifter and recovered 11 motorcycles of a same company worth Rs 4.4 lakh.
The accused is identified as Abdul Khaleel Pasha, aged 30 years, resident of B D Quarters, Galipura, Chamarajanagar. He is an autorickshaw driver. He had lifted vehicles in Nanjangud and T Narsipur police stations limits.
Pasha was stopped by the police led by PSI K A Chandra during a routine check near Devirammanahalli gate on Nanjangud- Gundlupet road on November 21 at 11 am.
He reportedly spilled the beans about lifting the vehicle near a TV showroom in the town. Acting on his information, police recovered the vehicles from Riyaz Ahmed at Tanveer Sait Nagar in Mysuru.
The case was cracked under the guidance of SP C B Rhyshyanth and Additional SP Shivakumar.
The police team led by DySP Prabhakar Rao Shinde and CPI Lakshmikanth Talawar included PSI Satish, Satish, Krishna, Maheshan, Chetan and Suresh, Bhaskar of T Narsipur station and jeep drivers Krishna and Srikanth.
