Nagarahole forest men arrest two for hunting deer

Mysuru: Forest personnel attached to Nagarahole Tiger Reserve have arrested two persons on the charges of hunting deer for meat in Anechowkuru Forest on Friday.
The accused are Pradeep alias Kunda (21) of Sindenahalli and Madhu (24) of Abburu, Hanagod hobli in Hunsur taluk.
A bag containing deer skull and eight legs are seized from them. While the search is on for four more accused in the case, who are currently absconding.
Acting on a tip off, the forest personnel raided a maize farm near Harangi canal at Shettihalli Lakkapatana beat in Negathuru village in Hanagod hobli in the taluk on July 19 and found the bags full of animals meat, three machetes and a blood stained knife.
A case has been registered against them under various sections of Wildlife Protection Act 1972.
