Mysuru: Actor and theatre person Mandya Ramesh’s father N Subramanyam passed away on Friday. He was 90.
The last rites were conducted at the crematorium at the foothill of Chamundi.
Subramanyam was also the president of Natana a theatre organisation founded by Mandya Ramesh.
A retired government officer, Subramanyam had served in various capacities for 40 years. He was a cultural enthusiast and took part in literary and religious activities in Mandya and Mysuru. He had also penned several books.
He was also associated with Shankara Mutt, Mandya, Badaganadu organization and various literary organisations after his retirement.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter, daughters-in-law, son in law and grand children’s.
Theatre friends of Mandya Ramesh and well-wishers of Natana have condoled the death of Subramanyam.
