Mysuru railway station: K’nataka’s first ISO certified station

Mysuru: South western railway ( SWR), Mysuru division has added yet another feather to its cap.

The Mysuru railway station has been conferred integrated ISO certificate making it a first station in the division and second in the India to receive the IMS certificate.

It consists of ISO: 9001 quality management system, ISO: 14001 environment management system and ISO: 45,001 safety management system. The environment and house keeping management wing under the leadership of Divisional Environment Officer Brij Mohan took the required steps in a very short span of time to achieve the certification.

Enthused, the officers led by ADRM Devasahayam have decided to streamline water and energy audit, solid waste management and improve grievance redressal mechanism and active the website of station.

M/s Quest Certification Limited, Chennai based international accredited agency handed over the certificate to Divisional Railway Manager ( DRM) Aparna Garg in Mysuru recently.
