Mysuru police on trail of gang rape suspects in TN, Kerala

Mysuru: Mysuru Police who are on the trail of those involved in gang rape of a girl student in the city, are looking for them in neighbouring Tamil Nadu and Kerala states.

Acting on the leads obtained in the case, police suspect it to be the handiwork of natives of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The police teams are searching for them in these States.
Police have constituted five teams under the guidance of ADGP (Law and Order) Pratap Reddy.
The girl who is pursuing MBA at a reputed college here is a native of Mumbai. She was staying in a PG accommodation.
On that ill-fated day, the girl along with her boy friend had gone to a place near Tippayyana Kere on Lalitadripura road, when a gang of five to six youths sexually assaulted her on Tuesday.
They assaulted her friend when the latter didn’t pay heed to their demand for money.
Alanahalli police have registered a case.
