Mysuru mourns the demise of retired Colonel Krishnamurthy

Mysuru: The Mysuru City is mourning the death of Retired Colonel Krishnamurthy, who had served valiantly in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. The Colonel, who resided in Lakshmipuram, belonged to the esteemed Rajput Regiment and had an illustrious military career before retiring. He was 77.

Speaking to Mysoorunews.com, Mysuru Ex-servicemen Movement founder Mahesh V said that as the news of his demise spread, he along with other office-bearers of the Movement including president Prince held a wreath parade, as is the tradition in the army, at the Colonel’s house.

Colonel Krishnamurthy leaves behind a wife and two children, who stay abroad.
