Bengaluru: Finally, the Mysuru gang rape survivor has recorded her statement before the judge.

In his reply over the issue raised by Opposition Leader in the Assembly Siddaramaiah, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai asserted that “the girl has given her statement in front of the judge via video conference.”

The survivor has recorded the statement in front of third JMFC judge and also in the presence of police officers. Our police officers arranged video conference facility at Mumbai, explained Bommai in the floor of the house, saying that the government has taken the case seriously and arrest of the accused is evidence for this.

Earlier Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah and Congress leaders alleged that BJP government has failed to protect Women’s rights and safety. Police delayed to register the complaint and government is trying to suppress the case, they alleged.

The gang rape on Lalithadripura road in the outskirts of Mysuru on August 24 had shook the country.

Alanahalli police had registered a case. ADGP (Law and Order) Prathap Reddy led police team had arrested six inter-state accused from Tiruppur in Tamil Nadu.
