Mysuru: A team of doctors from the city have conducted a health check-up camp at Shettalli tribal hamlet in Hunsur on August 25.
The camp was organised by Mysuru Medical Surgeons Association, Wild Conservation Society and Deepu Computers.
Association president Bhanukumar said “in the wake of heavy rain witnessed in rural parts of the district, there are chances of spreading of diseases like dengue, malaria and typhoid. We at the association decided to do our bit for the cause of rural prople”.
Over 300 people including men, women and children alike utilised the benefit of the camp.
The doctors team included Dr H C Ashok, Dr Ayyappa, Dr Nandini, Dr Shankarappa, Dr Shivashankar, Dr Udaykumar, Dr Vrushabendrappa and Dr Mahesh Kumar Shetty.
Tribal leader G T Rajappa, WCS leader Lokesh and Shettalli school head master Shivakumar were present at the camp.
