Mysuru-B’luru Expressway: Minister Nitin Gadkari to hold aerial inspection

Mysuru: Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will inspect works on ten-lane Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway on Thursday.
A temporary helipad has been erected near Jeeganahalli and he is expected to reach here by 12.25 pm Thursday. He will conduct the aerial inspection of the much-talked expressway up to Srirangapatna along with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. He is expected to interact with media persons at Basavanapura Highway Authority office.
The 118-km access-controlled highway is aimed at reducing travel time between Mysuru-Bengaluru from three hours to 75 minutes! Work on the stretch is almost complete. An estimated amount of Rs 4,473 crore is being spent and the ten-lane expressway is expected to be inaugurated before the Assembly elections.
