Mysuru all set for PM Narendra Modi’s first Road Show on Raja Marga

Mysuru: The City of Palaces Mysuru is all set for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Road Show, on the Rajamarga that comes to life once in a year for Jamboo Savari the last leg of Mysuru Dasara on Vijayadashami.
Narendra Modi’s Road Show ahead of Assembly elections on May 10, with 11 days pending, has been the much talked about in Mysuru, as it is also for the first time, the Prime Minister is taking out the show and the people, especially those in awe of the leader waiting to catch a glimpse from close quarters.
The route of the Road Show touches all the three Assembly constituencies in the city- Krishnaraja, Chamaraja and Narasimharaja.
As per schedule, PM Modi will land in a helicopter at the temporary helipad at Oval Ground, opposite Crawford Hall, at around 5-35 PM.
The Road Show begins from Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Circle (Gun House Circle), with Modi paying his tributes to the statue of 12th century social reformer Basaveshwara.
The road show passes through Sanskrit Patashala Circle, B Rachaiah Circle near Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), K R Circle, Sayyaji Rao Road, Sir M Visveswaraya circle, Tilak Nagar, Nelson Mandela Road and reach LIC circle before culminating the Road Show.
Raja Marga has turned saffron, with welcome boards and special arrangements all made to greet Modi.
As a precautionary measure, the route of the road show will be out for bounds for all the vehicles, except for VIPs, from 12 pm to 8 pm. Alternative routes have been arranged for the benefit of vehicles of types and also city and inter-district buses.
It is the second Road Show of PM Narendra Modi after Bengaluru held on Saturday, which witnessed an overwhelming response.
