Mysore Clubs Association to distribute relief kits

Mysuru: Mysore Clubs Association, Mysuru will be distributing relief kits to the flood affected 650 families in Pattadakallu and surrounding villages of Badami taluk in Bagalkot district.

Association convener V S Prakash has told on September 18 that “The association including four clubs in the city collected Rs 13 lakh by cutting down the expenditure of Independence Day celebration, by celebrating in a simple manner.

The relief kits worth Rs 2,000 consisting of essential items will be distributed to each families. It includes- Four hindalium vessels, four steel plates, four steel cups, one steel tumbler, plastic buket, mug and other items. Some families will be given tent tarpauls.

Some of the members have sponsored the cost of two to three kits.

Dr S Marigowda of Heritage Club said “During the previous year, we had contributed to chief minister’s flood relief fund”.

The Association includes- The Cosmopolitan Club, Mysuru, Vontikoppal Club, Vijayanagar Sports Club and Heritage Club.

H R Murthy, Jayapal, Girish prasad, Subramanya and Keerti Kumar were present at the press meet.
