Mudukutore Kallu Mutt Seer Sri Chandrashekar Swamiji passes away

Mysuru: Sri Chandrashekar Swamiji (81) the head pontiff of Kallu Mutt in Mudukuthore in T Narasipur taluk in the district passed away on Tuesday.
A native of Doddanahundi village in T Narasipur taluk, the seer was born on February 17, 1942. As a young boy of 13 years, he was initiated into sainthood by the then head pontiff of Suttur Mutt Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Swamiji on March 5, 1955.
Since then the Swamiji was feeding the devotees besides providing shelter at the Mutt, practicing the principles of dasoha.
Every year during Mudukutore Jatra festival, a large number of devotees were taking shelter at the Mutt.
The last rites of the Swamiji will be performed on the premises of the Mutt on Wednesday afternoon.
