Muddurama honour for Hiremagaluru Kannan and M Muthuswami

Mysuru: Noted orator, writer and popularly known as ‘Kannada Poojari’, Hiremagaluru Kannan will be felicitated with Muddurama Award – 2023 at JSS Women’s College here at Saraswathipuram on July 23 at 4.15 pm.
The prestigious award carries a citation and a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
On the occasion, litterateur M Muthuswami will also be presented with Muddurama Award. The award carries a plaque and a cash prize of Rs 25,000.
Hiremagaluru Kannan’s work, ‘Muddurama Lahari’ on poet K C Shivappa and Shwetha Prakash’s anthology ‘Padma Pallava’ will be released.
Suttur seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra swami will grace the occasion and noted litterateur Dr T V Venkatachala Shastri will preside.
Educationist Dr Gururaja Karajagi and orator M Krishnegowda will be present, according to a release issued by Muddurama Prathishtana.
