MUDA plans joint venture with farmers! 700 acres of land to be acquired

Mysuru: Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has intensified the process to develop sites jointly with farmers. The sites will be developed at the ratio of 50:50, within 18 months of taking up the project.
Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Chairman H V Rajiv told media persons on Thursday “the Authority has taken up six projects and land acquisition process is underway. The farmers who volunteer to hand over the land will be given advance of Rs 10 lakh”.
Rajiv said “the ownership of the land will not be completely with MUDA as onetime notification will be issued in the name of the Governor. The 50 per cent sites will be given to farmers in the form of compensation. An estimated nine sites measuring 30 ft x40 ft is expected to be given per acre. The farmers will be given due rights to even sell those sites. However no commercial or corner sites will be allotted to them”.
We are looking forward to acquire 700 acres of land comprising Udboor, Talur, Daripura, Mullur, nearby Bommanahalli and Sheegehalli villages, he added.
MUDA Commissioner Dr B Natesh, Assistant Commissioner Savitha were present.
