MP Simha meets CM for Mysuru Airport runway expansion, funds for Kushalnagar rail

Bengaluru: Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha has requested Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to include the proposal of extending the runway of Mysuru Airport in forthcoming State Budget.
Simha who called on the chief minister in Bengaluru recently, requested the latter to include the proposal to extend the runway by 2.8 km in the budget of 2020- 21.
Along with this, the initial funds for Mysuru (Kushalnagar) to Kushalnagar railway project should be announced in the budget. During the union budget 2018- 19 an amount of Rs 1,855 crore was sanctioned to take up the works.
Following this, Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi had written a letter to the State and you have responded positively. Hence the state must announce funds to launch the works on 97 km long railway route from Mysuru to Kushalnagar, MP has apprised CM.
