MP Prathap Simha lambasts Christian missionaries, supports government over Anti-conversion Bill

Mysuru: Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha on Friday launched a tirade against Christian missionaries.

“Instead of treating patients, Christian missionaries are providing gift boxes to trap them for conversion,” alleged Prathap Simha after offering puja at 101 Ganapathi temple at Agrahara in the city.

Continuing his dig against Christian missionaries, Simha alleged that they attract illiterates and poor in Hindu community, show sympathy and give gift boxes in the name of Jesus. This should be prohibited in our state. Therefore the state government headed by Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai has come forward to bring anti- conversion Bill to save Hindu culture.

On the demolition of temple at Huchgani in Nanjanagud taluk, Simha said “Through the anti-conversion Bill we can save our temples. I spoke to Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai to bring Hindu temple authority Bill, besides inviting him to reconstruct new temple at Hucchagani. CM has agreed to attend the inaugural function,” Simha stated.

Mysuru city BJP president T S Srivatsa, corporator Shivakumar, former Corporator Shivakumar and others were present.
