MP Dr C N Manjunath meets FM over pending Polytrauma Centre at NIMHANS, Bengaluru

New Delhi: Bangalore Rural MP Dr C N Manjunath met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman here on Tuesday.
Speaking to media persons after meeting the Finance Minister, Dr Manjunath said, he has requested the Minister to approve the long pending proposal of 300-bed Polytrauma Centre at the North campus of National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in Bengaluru.
Dr Manjunath said, it is imperative to have the Polytrauma Centre at the earliest, with the increase in number of accidents, claiming a large number of lives. The Minister has responded positively, as the proposal is pending for the last 10 years. If the project is sanctioned, the Centre will be helpful in providing treatment during golden hour for the accident victims.
Nirmala Sitharaman, is a Rajya Sabha member, elected from Karnataka.
Dr Manjunath, is the former Director of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bengaluru.
