Mortal remains of former PM Dr Manmohan Singh to reach Nigambodh Ghat

New Delhi: The last rites of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will be conducted at Nigambodh Ghat at 11.45 am.
Dr Manmohan Singh died on Thursday night at AIIMS here at the age of 92.
Ministry of Home Affairs stated that funeral will take place at 11:45 AM on 28th December, 2024 at Nigambodh Ghat, New Delhi.
It said the Ministry of Defence has been requested to make arrangements for according Singh State funeral with full military honours.
Dr Manmohan Singh’s mortal remains was taken to AICC Office and all the dignitaries offered tributes to former PM.
AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and various leaders from different parts of the country paid their tributes.
The military vehicle carrying mortal remains of Singh in a coffin has left for Nigambodh Ghat in a procession.
