Mysuru: It seems the animosity between previous Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri and JDS MLA and former minister Sa Ra Mahesh is sure to stay for some more time.

Following the remarks made by Rohini Sindhuri squarely blaming land mafia behind her untimely transfer, Mahesh has decided to take it to the Assembly.

Addressing media on Wednesday, Mahesh who seems to be peeved over the outgoing remarks of his bete noire Rohini Sindhuri, said ” I won’t stop my battle against Rohini Sindhuri. It will continue in the floor of the house for defaming politicians of Mysuru.”

I will raise the voice at Assembly also,” Mahesh repeatedly said not willing to let go of it so easily.

Quoting the remarks of Opposition Leader in Assembly Siddaramaiah, who had also mentioned his name (Sa Ra Mahesh) and BJP leaders for the reason behind Sindhuri’s transfer, Mahesh clarified that “the IAS officer was transferred due to duty lapses, not because of land mafia. Because the IAS officer didn’t take action against single gunta of land across the district. If there is any example of clearing land encroachments or raid, provide the documents. Since eight months, she had wrote only one letter to Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) about Keragalli lake issue,” Mahesh stated.

Most importantly I had not demanded for her transfer, but had raised the demand to depute another senior officer for Covid management,” said Mahesh.

I had levelled 10 allegations, all on the basis of documents. So the investigation should be carried out and if found guilty, the officer should be dismissed immediately,” Mahesh demanded.

The monthly electricity bill of DC’s official residence was Rs 50,000. Why such a large amount of power was consumed? It was used for gym and swimming pool only, Mahesh alleged.

Quoting Sundhuri’s reply for the notice served on the basis of complaints raised with regard to the pool built in violation of heritage norms, Mahesh said according to the reply it was a pilot project. If they were really interested in pilot projects, they must have constructed such pools in backward taluks like H D Kote and Hunsur, Mahesh said.

Former deputy mayors K V Mallesh, Shylendra and Krishna, Corporator Ashwini Ananthu, JDS State spokesperson N R Ravichandre Gowda and others were present.
