MLA Tanveer Sait’s followers protest demanding DyCM’s post to him

Mysuru: Supporters of MLA Tanvir Sait gathered at Town Hall, staging a protest demanding his appointment as Deputy Chief Minister. They claimed that his impressive record as a six-time MLA and his influence within the minority community make him the deserving candidate for the deputy chief minister’s post.
Some of the Congress leaders also held a press conference here on Wednesday. KPCC Secretary KM Akbar Alim and others said Sait who is elected for the sixth-term from the minority-dominated Narasimharaja Constituency in Mysuru has been a prominent face of the community in the district.
Besides, he has a great number of followers in Mysuru and Mysuru Rural Congress units. As a six-time MLA, Tanvir Sait possesses the necessary expertise in leadership roles, and the Congress party has acknowledged his contributions from the Minority quota, they said.
Along with Alim, Ajaz Pasha, Rehamath Babu, Kalimulla, Nijamuddin, and Siddiqu Ahmad were present.
