MLA Rizwan Arshad takes a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi

2 min read
Mysuru: MLA Rizwan Arshad launched a blistering attack on both BJP led central and state governments, accusing them of failing on many fronts especially in handling Covid-19 cases.
Rizwan a native of Mysuru and Congress MLA from Shivajinagar in Bengaluru alleged that “Across the country, the situation over the pandemic is turning worse and yet Prime Minister Narendra Modi is silent. Ironically, finance minister says that the pandemic is an ‘Act of God’ and the party is engaged in corruption over the dead bodies of Covid-19 victims”, alleged Arshad.
” When the country came under lockdown in the initial days of the pandemic in March, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed people to clap and light lamps to beat the heat of pandemic. But all fell like a dud”, said Arshad in a mocking tone.
” When it comes to State government, everything is out of control and many are clueless about actually who is running the government. BJP led state government submittedan  affidavit to High Court about the relief works, but there is no such actions in reality. The 24x 7 shelters and free meal to lakhs of people, as claimed by the government are all bogus. Bigger is the scam related to procurement of mask, sanitiser and thermal scanner. It is not just 10 per cent or 20 per cent, but 100 percent corruption”, Arshad claimed.
State government announced Rs 5,000 one time financial assistance to auto drivers, taxi drivers and others doing odd jobs, but the benefit did not even reach 10 per cent of the target group, he claimed.
Hiding facts
BJP is hiding the facts of the county, as job loss and failed economy have put India in a bad position. The prime minister lacks morality to face media, but makes time for ‘Man Ki Baath’, but why? Across the world,  leaders do interact with media persons and apprise about pandemic related situation, but still the prime minister practices a laid back approach”, Arshad stated.
Drug mafia
Drug mafia in Bengaluru is rampant and younger generation has fallen prey. Even the class 10 students are addicted to it and it is suffice to estimate the influence of substance. It is only the police who can check the mafia effectively and Congress party extends full support to the government and whatever action they against peddlers, promised Arshad.
Mysuru Dasara
“Nada Habba Mysuru Dasara is a festival with which people of Mysuru and world over share an emotional bond. I do wish it will be simple and traditional celebration this year with all the Covid safety measures”, he added.
Mysuru District Congress Rural Committee President B J Vijay Kumar, city president R Murthy, KPCC spokesman M Lakshman, former mayor Ayub Khan and former Corporator Shivanna were present.
