Mysuru: Leader of the Opposition and former chief minister Siddaramaiah seems to be finding it difficult to differentiate between nationalism and terrorism, thanks to his age, mocked MLA Vedvyas Kamath.
Coming down heavily on the senior Congress leader, MLA Kamath sought to know why Siddaramaiah is quite about the arrest of a son of Congress leader by NIA sleuths, recently.
“Siddaramaiah always speaks disrespectfully about Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh. But he has no courage to speak about the arrest of Congress leader’s son by NIA officials in connection with the cooker blast case,” Kamath said.
It appears that Siddaramaiah who defected to the Congress party has forgotten that the Congress paid rich tributes to RSS Guruji in the Parliament. Also, the then prime minister allowed RSS to take out marchpast at Rajpath in honour of their co-operation to the army during the Indo-China war. But Siddaramaiah fails to acknowledge it, he added.
The minority community in the country have lost faith in the Congress party. Hence, senior Congress leaders like Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar are doing every possible exercise to safeguard their vote bank and the voters are noticing it, Kamath observed.
He dared Siddaramaiah and KPCC president DK Shivakumar to make their stand clear about the arrest of a Congress’ leader’s son by NIA officials in connection with the cooker blast case. It may be recalled here, the NIA officials who are investigating into the Mangaluru cooker blast case have picked up Reshaan Thajuddin Sheikh on Jan 5. Thajuddin Sheikh is the general secretary of Brahmavar block Congress in Udupi.
