Miscreants cut banana plantation, upset farmer attempts suicide

Mysuru: Upset over the miscreants partly destroying his banana plantation, a 42-year-old farmer allegedly attempted suicide by consuming pesticide at Hadya village in Nanjangud taluk in the district.
Nagesh had grown banana on one acre of land and was nearing the period of harvest. However, some miscreants had chopped the crop. Upset, Nagesh attempted to end his life.
He has been admitted at a private hospital in Mysuru city.
Nanjangud rural police have registered a case.
