district incharge minister S T Somashekar fulfilled the rare birthday wish of his mother. And, it was possible due to the humility of former chief minister S M Krishna.
You may be wondering why S M Krishna? Here is an intriguing story.
A week ago Seethamma Thimmegowda mother of Somashekar turned 94. When Somashekar asked his mother about the gift she wishes for her birthday, all she wanted was to see Krishna. An ardent fan of Krishna she expressed her desire to meet him once.
Somashekar informs his special officer Dinesh Gooligowda to seek an appointment of Krishna.
Gooligowda calls on Krishna and informs about Somashekar’s mother’s wish and seeks time.
However, Krishna opts to make time to meet Seethamma at her home.
“Being elder to me, it is not wise to ask her come home. Instead I only will meet her, ” this was Krishna’s reply.
True to his words, Krishna came to the house of Somashekar in Sadashivanagar on Tuesday. Seethamma who was delighted to receive Krishna interacted with the latter besides exchanging pleasantries.
Somashekar, his wife Radha Somashekar and son Nishanth Somashekar who were overwhelmed by the gesture of Krishna thanked the latter for fulfilling the wish of a nonagenarian fan.
