Minister reviews preparations for Ashada month celebrations

Mysuru: District In-charge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa held a meeting here on Monday to review preparations for the upcoming Ashada month, celebrated with religious fervour, especially at the Goddess Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills.
During the meeting, the minister observed that the first Ashada Friday falls on June 23 and directed the authorities to leave no stone unturned to ensure devotees have no issues to offer their prayers to Goddess Chamundeshwari.
Ashada is considered an auspicious month where hundreds of devotees are expected to visit the temple to offer their prayers to the Goddess. Recognising the religious rights of everyone, the officials are focused on managing the crowd and ensuring a smooth experience for the devotees. They were asked to review past models and eliminate any ineffective strategies and make necessary arrangements to handle the influx of visitors on Friday.
Furthermore, Dr H C Mahadevappa stated that the district administration is diligently preparing for the Sri Chamundeshwari Vardhanti Utsav, which is scheduled for July 10. Their goal is to facilitate an effortless experience for devotees during this significant event.
The meeting was attended by MLAs Tanveer Sait, T S Srivatsa and K Harish Gowda, Deputy Commissioner Dr KV Rajendra, SP Seema Latkar, and Police Commissioner Ramesh Banoth.
