Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, MLC brother injured as car hits tree

Belagavi:: Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar and her brother MLC Channaraj Hattiholi suffered injuries, after their SUV rammed a tree in Ambadagatti near Kittur on the Pune – Bengaluru national highway on Tuesday morning.

Hebbalkar and Hattiholi have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment, Police said.

Hebbalkar has sustained injuries on her face and back and Hattiholi has received head injuries.

The car hit a road side tree, after the driver tried to avoid hitting a dog, at around six am.

A case is registered.
