Minister Jarkiholi says Congress will sink, MLA Narendra asks him to look into his past

1 min read

Kollegal: Denying any differences among BJP leaders, Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi clarified that no leader is quitting BJP and B S Yediyurappa government is stable in the State.

He further said that “Umesh Katti is a good friend of mine. He will not quit BJP. All BJP MLAs have gathered together and it should not be misconstrued,” he added.

“We may have revolted in the past. But not now. We are in BJP and we’ll end our political career in BJP. I have 22 legislators with me. If High Command agrees, I can make five of them to quit now,” Minister Jarkiholi said.

He lashed out at Congress saying, it’s a sinking ship and there are no fools in our party to join Congress.

However, Minister Jarkiholi’s statements on Congress did not go down well with Hanur Congress MLA Narendra.

MLA Narendra said that Congress party which has a great legacy is akin to sea. Hundreds come and go here.

“Let Minister Jarkiholi look into his past. Should he be reminded of  his previous association with the party and from which party, he climbed up the political ladder,” blasted MLA Narendra.

He is enjoying his clout in BJP as he has taken leaders from the Congress.

“Polls will decide, which party will sink or float. Nobody can drown the Congress party,” he said.
