Minerva! Christ College hosts national meet on trends in management

Mysuru: The department of Business Administration Christ College had organised a national conference – Minerva in the college auditorium titled “Trends in Management”.

The inaugural session of Minerva national conference on trends in management at Christ College in Mysuru.

The conference was well attended by eminent academicians, faculty members and students from reputed educational institutions. 

In technical sessions there were three tracks- Financial management, Human Resource management and marketing management and a total of 34 papers were  presented in the conference out of 60 and above submissions.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr Hema Patil, Associate professor and programme coordinator, VTU, Regional Centre, Mysuru who was the chief guest.

The panellists for the conference were Dr Shivaprasad, Professor in Teresian college for the Human Resource track, Dr  Lakshmisha K, Professor in Maharani’s college for the Marketing track and Dr Manju S, Professor in Maharani’s college for the Finance track.

The inauguration was witnessed by Dr Hema Patil, Principal Rev Fr Biju P D, HOD & Conference Chair Archana N, faculties and students of the department.

The inauguration was soon followed by keynote address by Hema Patil, presidential address by Principal Rev Fr Biju  P D. Master of the ceremony was by Amrutha, welcome address by Jibin Jose and vote of thanks by Muralikrishnan. The parallel session started by 11 am.

The conference closed with a valedictory function with the guest of honour being Shreedhar Bhat, founder, World Vision Softex.

The overview of the event was given by Archana N, Conference Chair and Head of the Department of Business Administration, Coordination by Rashmi D and Manoj M D, Assistant Professor, Christ college Mysuru.

The best paper was awarded in each track and the conference concluded by national anthem.
