Messy Aadhaar centres: Kannada activists post memo to PM Modi
1 min readMysuru: Members of Mysuru Kannada Vedike on Saturday launched a post card protest against the discrepancies in Aadhaar centres in the city.
Post cards were posted at the post box kept outside Mysuru City Corporation ( MCC) main office, to the office of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
According to Vedike president Balakrishna ‘lack of adequate staff at the aadhaar centres where both new enrolments and corrections are being made are causing severe inconvenience to the public. The people are forced to stand in serpentine queues for hours together. The city corporation should open more such centres for the benefit of the public’.
‘Some of the middlemen are swindling Rs 200 for making corrections in each card. The officials are blind towards all these irregularities’, Balakrishna has aalleged.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi who harps on ‘Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas’ should stop the daylight robbery happening at Aadhaar centres’.
Vedike leaders ‘Nala Beedhi’ Ravi, Bogasidde Gowda, Palace Babu, Gurubasappa, Gopi, Beeda Babu, Papanni, Mahadeva Swamy, Arvind, Seemeenne Madappa, Basavanna, Sunil, Kaveramma, Swamy Guide and Srinivas took part in the protest.
