Meet The Champion: Intl Para swimmer Niranjan inspires at Ramakrishna Vidyashala

Mysuru: Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala organised “MEET THE CHAMPION” to commemorate the great achievements of exceptional hockey player Major Dhyanchand observed as “National Sports Day”.

Government of India, Sports and Youth Affairs Department and Sports Authority of India have organised this special programme titled “Meet the Champion”.

International Para swimmer and champion Niranjan Mukundan was the chief guest. Dr Monika, Assistant Director of Sports Authority of India also graced the occasion.

Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala students displayed their exceptional swimming skills and in a ceremonial march past, offered their respects and welcomed the chief guests.

Later Niranjan Mukundan played table tennis with some students symbolically inaugurating “Meet the Champion” programme.

He addressed the students of various schools and created awareness about balanced diet, importance of regular practice in the ground, constant remembrance of aim in life and developing will power to overcome adverse situations in life.

A video carrying the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also screened.

A quiz related to sports and games was conducted and five winners were presented Olympic Jersey on the stage.

More than 500 students enthusiastically participated in the event.

Swami Muktidanandaji Adhyaksha of Sri Ramakrishna Asharma, Mysuru presided over the programme. Swami Yukteshanandaji, Correspondent of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyasala, S Balaji Principal and others were present on the stage.

Physical Education Directors of Sri Ramakrishana Vidyashala D Sudarshan and B R Ravi were also present.
