Media can bring reforms in the society: Former Lokayukta N Santosh Hegde

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Lokayukta N Santosh Hegde on Saturday said that, media considered as the pillar of the society can easily bring transforms in the society within the ambit of law.
Addressing the gathering during Newspaper Day celebration and Prathibha Puraskara, organised by Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ), at Press Club, Hegde, who is the retired Supreme Court judge had a string of message to media.
The society has a great expectation from media and hence the latter should strive towards sowing good values in the society, said Hegde.
Chairperson of Karnataka Media Academy Ayesha Khanum, the chief guest on the occasion said, media is like the mirror of the society and the journalists should not have any preconceived notions.
KUWJ President Shivanand Tagadur delivered the presidential address.
Joint Director of Information and Public Relations Department Pallavi Honnapura was the special invitee.
State Executive Committee Member Somashekar Gandhi and others were present.
