MCC Commissioner raids four shops; seizes 434 kg single use plastic

Mysuru: A team of officials from Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) led by their Commissioner Shaikh Tanveer Asif on Sunday raided four shops and seized a huge quantity of 434.5 kg of single use plastic and imposed a spot fine of Rs 70,000 on the errant traders.
The shops raided were K K Enterprises on Aane Sarot road, Chamundeshwari Bhandar, Santhepet main road, Satyanarayana Enterprises and Madhu Plastic Packaging, Shivarampet main road.
Assistant Executive Engineers, Environment Engineer, Health Inspector and staff accompanied MCC Commissioner in the operation against single use plastic.
