Married woman dies by suicide; husband, in-laws held

Mysuru: A woman who married her lover just three years ago died by suicide at Maluganahalli in Saligrama, Mysuru district on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Deepika (21)
Deepika was in love with Nagaraj, who happened to be her distant relative. However, their families objected to their relationship as they happened to be brother and sister in relation. Yet, both of them did not listen to their families and eloped and got married. They were staying in a village near KR Nagar but recenty shifted to Maluganahalli.
It is alleged that Nagaraj and his family allegedly tortured her for dowry forcing her to end her life, complained Deepika’s parents.
Following their complaint in Saligrama police sation, the police have arrested Nagaraj and his parents.
