Mango Mela from May 24 to 28

Mysuru: The king of fruits has arrived and get ready to savour your favourite mango fruit from May 24. To ensure healthy fruit, only naturally ripened and chemical free fruit will be sold.

The department of horticulture has organised mango and jackfruits mela from May 24 to 28 at Curzon Park next to the palace.

According to Deputy Director of Horticulture Sanjay ’42 stalls will be opened, with majority of 40 stalls for selling mangoes and two for jackfruits. Varieties of mango like- Badami, Banganpally. Thotapuri, Mallika, Rasapuri, Malgoba etc will be sold’.

Like previous years, it is planned to sell not less than 100 tonnes of mango in the Mela.

Senior Assistant Director of Horticulture Habiba Nishad was also present in the press meet.
