Mangaluru auto blast case: Cops intensify probe in Mysuru

Mysuru: Mangaluru police who have intensified their investigation into the autorickshaw blast case, are leaving no stone unturned in unearthing the motive of prime suspect Mohammed Tariq.

The police team is looking for the cab drivers of taxi aggregators, the services of which were used by Tariq during his brief stay in Mysuru.

The police are also learnt to have been digging deep into the whereabouts of one Chandrasekhar in whose name Tariq had taken a mobile SIM card.

Likewise police have already grilled 10 people who were in contact with Tariq, it is learnt.

Tariq was carrying a pressure cooker fitted with improvised explosive device (IED) that exploded near Naguri in Mangaluru city recently.

Tariq suffered the burns along with the autorickshaw driver in the incident and is admitted to a Hospital.

Following the investigation, it was learnt that, Tariq had stayed at a house in Lokanayaka Nagar in Hebbal in the city, which he had taken on rent.
