Mysuru: A man who pelted stones on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s residence in T K Layout, Mysuru – on Tuesday – has been arrested by the police. The arrested has been identified as Satyamurthy, a resident of Hootagalli.

Satyamurthy had hurled stones at the chief minister’s residence damaging window panes on Tuesday. The police guarding the residence tried to nab him, but he reportedly pelted stones on them too. He quickly fled from the scene on his bike. However, he was chased and was caught near Hootagalli Ring Road by Vijayanagara police. The arrested has been sent to judicial custody.

It has now come to light that Satyamurthy is a habitual offender. For, during the last Assembly elections, he had reportedly broken the electronic voting machine.

While Saraswathipuram police have registered a complaint on Satyamurthy for pelting stones on the chief minister’s house, the Vijayanagara police have filed a case on him for attacking police officers on duty.
