Man stabs his roommate for messaging his girlfriend

Mysuru: A youth stabbed his roommate in Vidyaranyapuram for allegedly sending a message to his girlfriend. The injured Shivakumar is undergoing treatment at a private hospital here.
It is said that Shreyas and Shivakumar had rented a room in Janatanagar and Shreyas was in love with a girl from Varuna. Despite being aware of Shreyas’ affair, Shivakumar allegedly connected with Shreyas’ girlfriend and used to chat with her. After learning about this, Shreyas had warned Shivakumar to stay out of his girlfriend, but Shivakukmar allegedly continue to be in touch with the girl.
On Tuesday too, Shivakumar was caught messaging with Shreyas’ girlfriend and this irked Shreyas. They scuffled over this near Nanjangud Ring Road and in a fit of rage, Shreyas allegedly stabbed Shivakumar with a knife.
Vidyaranyapuram police have filed a case in this regard and are on the lookout for Shreyas.
