Man murders 20-year-old daughter in Periyapatna, surrenders to cops later

Mysuru: A man allegedly hacked his daughter to death over the latter’s love affair at Rajapura in Periyapatna taluk on Friday.
Jayarama (53) a resident of Gollara Beedhi, in Periyapatna town allegedly hit his daughter Gayatri (20) with a sharp tool on her head, killing her on the spot. He later surrendered himself at Periyapatna police station.
It is alleged that Jayarama was irked over his daughter courting a boy from different caste.
With an intention to get rid of his daughter, he too her to the farm land with ulterior motive around 12.10 PM.
SP R Chetan who visited the spot told Mysoorunews.com “a man killed his own daughter and the reasons behind will be ascertained after the investigation. We are also looking into the allegations of inter-caste love affair for murder,” SP added.
