Man gets life term for killing wife

Mandya: Principal District and Sessions Court Judge H B Vijayakumari has awarded life sentence to a man convicted of killing his wife. A fine of Rs 50,000 has been imposed on him.
Nagesh son of Thangavelu, Mangaiah Nagar, Hale Budanur village, Mandya taluk is the convicted person.
According to the case reported four years ago on January 28, 2015, in Mandya rural police limits, Nagesh had slit his wife Asha’s throat with a knife in the house.
According to Public Prosecutor H E Chinnappa, Nagesh was suspicious about his wife’s fidelity and was frequently quarrelling with her. On the day of the incident, he picked up a quarrel again with the ulterior motive of killing her. He turned on the home theatre and increased the volume of the speaker, so that even if his wife screams, nobody should hear it. He attacked her with a wooden slab, before killing her.
