Mahatma Gandhi statue at Freedom Fighters Memorial park vandalised

Mysuru: The statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the lead of “Gyarah Murthy” at Freedom Fighters Memorial Park at Subbarayana Kere on Narayan Shastri road has been vandalised.
The statue made of bronze was a recreation of Dandi March as the park was the centre of activity during pre-independent India. It was erected in 2011 as part of the 65th independence day celebration.
The incident has also brought to fore the security loopholes, as miscreants are involved in damaging the statue in bits and parts.
Public are demanding strict action against miscreants and also for proper security measures at the park.
