Lokayukta raids four senior officers; search 25 locations

Bengaluru: Lokayukta officials conducted raids on the premises belonging to the officials in various parts of the State on Thursday.
Lokayukta officials carried out extensive raids at over 25 locations, including Mysuru, Bengaluru, Mandya, Mangaluru and Chikkaballapur.
The residences of several high ranking government officials were raided, including Cauvery Niravari Nigam Surface Water Data Centre Managing Director Mahesh, Excise Superintendent Mohan, Bengaluru, Krishnaveni M C, Senior Geologist, Department of Mines and Geology, Mangaluru and N K Thippeswamy, Director of Country and Town Planning, Bengaluru.
All four senior officers are under the Lokayukta’s scrutiny.
Officials are examining documents and intensively probing the allegations of owning assets disproportionate to their known sources of income, against them.
