Lokayukta police arrest KR Pura Tahsildar for assets disproportionate to his income

Bengaluru: Following complaints of allegedly owning properties disproportionate to his income, KR Pura Tahsildar Ajit Kumar Rai has been arrested by Lokayukta police here on Thursday.

Lokayukta officials during their raid on tahsildar Rai Wednesday had found that there were several benami properties allegedly owned by Rai. He was taken into custody on Wednesday night. However, since he reportedly failed provide documents to validate his assets, he was arrested on Thursday.
It is said that the Lokayukta has seized documents of over 150 properties.
